1969 Framus Archtop Acoustic - Vintage Vibe

Framus Studio Model 5/51

Built Germany - 1969, Model Studio 5/51, Serial No. 21715, Tested by Miller,

This guitar is beautiful. It radiates vintage vibe. It has a number of small dings and scratches but the over-all appearance is wonderful. The action and playability is excellent; straight neck, good frets, perfect intonation (adjustable bridge), low action, no buzz. Original case included but it is trash.

This is a small archtop that is built like a German Panzer. It has a classic archtop sound, but is not loud. What this guitar needs is a pickup. I have been using a cheap stick on wood-dot pickup, which I stick inside the F-hole. I also run it through a Zoom A-2 acoustic effects box. I can really pull out the full vintage sound and round it out with some EQ and just a little reverb. It sounds FANTASTIC. Also, this guitar works great for Slide. Its super easy to raise the bridge for a little higher action to play slide. Killer, slide sound, again, especially with the pickup.
